Our Pastor 

Pastor Doug Woltemath came to St. Stephen's in January 2001 from Emmanuel Lutheran Church, York, Nebraska where he served for 2 1/2 years. He graduated with a Master of Arts from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Before enrolling at the seminary, Pastor Doug served as a Director of Christian Education at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and First Lutheran Church in Papillion, Nebraska.

 

He married Karen Hecht in 1988. They have two daughters, Kadie and Kenzie.

 

Pastor Doug claims North Platte, Nebraska as his hometown. Having been born and raised in Nebraska, his blood is "Husker Red." In addition to cheering on the Cornhuskers, he enjoys time with family, playing golf, watching "The Andy Griffith Show" reruns, fixing things, and doing yard work.
