Welcome

Welcome, and thank you for visiting St. Stephen's Lutheran Church online. We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

Our Mission

St. Stephen's Lutheran Church is a people of faith and of the Holy Spirit...

  • Serving the Savior with the gifts and abilities God has given,

  • Seeking the Sinner by sharing the story of Jesus and his love,

  • Schooling the Saved through educational ministries, and

  • Supporting the Saints as they serve God where they are.

"...they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 6:5 ESV).

What We Believe

We believe and teach that we are saved by grace (God’s undeserved love) through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit. Our teachings are taken from the Bible, which is the true, revealed Word of God.

The Bible teaches that there is one God who made heaven and earth and all that exists. The one God is the Triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We celebrate two sacraments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Through Baptism God gives us faith and salvation in Jesus, making us his own children, called to witness and serve in love. In the Lord’s Supper we receive the very body and blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins, life and salvation.

We partner with other congregations of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

Support the ministry of St. Stephen's.  Donations can go to Home offering, Missions, or Birthday Fund.

Worship is God’s service to us. Our Lord serves us through his holy Word and Sacraments, delivering his forgiveness and salvation, and strengthening us for service. Come experience the presence of Jesus in worship!

Our Sunday morning worship is at 9:00 a.m. with Disciple Training (Sunday School) at 10:15. A fellowship time follows the morning service. The more traditional Sunday morning service flows from the rich heritage of Lutheran liturgy and hymns.

Our 7:00 Wednesday evening service is a more casual "come-as-you-are" service.

  • June–August: each Wednesday.

  • September–November: the first Wednesday of the month.

Special seasons of worship:

  • Advent: the first Wednesday of December at 7:00 p.m.

  • Lent: the six Wednesdays before Easter at 7:00 p.m.

Any additional services will be announced in our bulletin and on our website's event's calendar.

You are always welcome to worship with us. If you desire membership, please contact the pastor or church office for more information.
